My friend just called and said he can't get his key to turn on his Suzuki 400 and we're suppose to ride today.

Has anyone ever had this problem or know of any possible fixes?

I guess I could hot wire it, but I'm wondering if this is a safety feature/lock out device for another problem.

I'd hate to bypass the ignition and do more damage than good.

Thanks

Spray some WD-40 in there.  Wink  It always works on my door when the key wont turn. Usualy what it is, is that it gets some dirt in it and it freeze's up.

The tumblers are stuck. The wd-40 should work. Spray it in there and pull the key in and out. It shouls free up shortly.

Thanks Fellas,

After closer inspection we found that it looks like someone tried to jam a screw driver in it.

Serves my friend right for leaving his garage door open when he runs errands.

Thanks for the input, though.
