ok. so i've decided god loves me!!  Here's why:

As some of you know, my four-wheeler was stolen about 3 months ago from my house in davie.  I did recover it and after that kept it at a private residence in SW Ranches with my whole family living on one street.  Never would expect a problem.

So sunday, i'm supposed to go out on my boat.  I went to pick up my trailer with my friend because we were taking it out of the dry-dock marina it was at.  We decided to stop at the Tom Thumb gas station on Griffin and Weston Rd in SW Ranches.

As we're making a U-Turn to turn into the station, i see an older F-150 driving by with what looks like my (still) slightly damaged four-wheeler in it.  I told my buddy "dude, that really reallly looks like my bike!"  Then he told me he didnt' remember seeing it behind my mud truck at our house.  I Said "dude, we gotta follow him!!!!!!"  He was already headed west on Griffin Rd towards 27.  We pulled out onto dykes, RAN THE RED LIGHT to turn onto griffin (safely of course...no cars comin) and started to follow him about 6 cars back.  Keep in mind, we're in a brand new f-350 dually with a bully dog stage 2 chip BUT we're pullin a 32' triple axle boat trailer (no boat).

So we follow them down to US 27 and Holiday Park.  I told my buddy "anyone wiht a fourwheeler knows NOT to ride in holiday...i think they're goin to hide it there"  Then out of now where, they pull over on the side of the road and i confirmed it was my bike.  We tried to block the road so they coudln't go back towards 27 and they realized who we were.  They took off down in the swale and drove through a bunch of weeds and sh*t to get around us.  I jumped out of the truck and ran around to get the tag off the kids truck.  I then called 911 with the tags and to alert them of their direction, etc.  My buddy (a 6'0 former marine) tried to pull the driver out of the truck.  His two buddies held the driver in the truck and they sped away almost running my friend over.  They turned right on 27 towards pines blvd since the light to cross the highway was red.

We pulled a U-turn as quick as we could in our dually wiht the trailer and drove way down into the median (praying it was dry) to pursue them.  Now, he's driving and im on the phone with 911 telling them where they're heading.

when we turned onto 27, i realized that they were turning left onto Stirling road.  I told BSO that road only exits to 196th as stirling rd is a dead end.  When they passed the 196th turn, i decided to try and block stirling rd with the truck and trailer.  They went all the way to the end and then realizing it was a dead end, pulled a quick u turn and went speeding back towards us.  Fortunately, at that cul de sac sat a man drinking coffee and reading the paper.  He also happened to be an off duty pines police officer.  He grabbed his radio and got in his patrol car thinking something was up with kids speeding down the raod like that.

As the kids were heading towards me, the cop was not yet on the road so we didn't know he was coming.  they were doing about 40 or 50 towards us.  Now, I had assumed that they would have to stop and a 3 on 2 conflict would ensue, so I grabbed a Club (for the steering wheel) and pulled ti apart and gave my friend the other half.  When the truck refused to slow, they drove up on the berm and went flying around us, almost running me and my friend over.  We both took our club and threw it as hard as we could at the truck, busting their front end and puttin a hole in teh windshield and cuttin one of the passengers.

The Pines cop turned the corner and nabbed the kids.  They're in custody and i have my bike back.

I didn't even know my bike was stolen!! they took it saturday night and i hadn't been home from then till that day.  The ODDS of me seeing my bike driving down the road and spotting it just overwhelm me.  IMagine.  Slim to none man....slim to none.

I am so happy for you that you got it back  -  I could not imagine driving down the road and going wow that really looks like my quad and then confirming it was. I wish we could have seen their face when your buddy was trying to pull him outta the truck. Bet they never imagined running into you.

I wonder if this story would have been made public had you not gotten the cops involved...and managed to get the guys to stop and out of the truck?....I know I would not have said anything given the right circumstances.....LOL...Awesome...congrats....

I still say the cop should of let you beat them senseless or wait is is beat some sense INTO them before  hauling them off to jail..

I bet they are making plenty of "friends" in the slammer.. They are becoming someones "buddy", if ya know wat i mean..

That is crazy, at least u caught them..

The bike is chained to a tree now and blocked in by bobcat front end attachments lol

The bad news is this: the kids were only 17 and had a clean record, so all they'll get is a slap on teh wrist and a class they'll have to attend.  No jail time, no nothing.

f**k our justice system.  I wish we would have gotten them outta the truck before the cops got there, and no, i wouldn't be tellin the "EXACT" story had they gotten out before the cops arrived hehe Smiley
