Hello all, I'm with the Florida Four Wheel Drive Association.  We filed our appeal last month and just received our answer today.  An environmental group filed an appeal to prohibit the use of the Rodman Pit and their appeal was upheld.  Therefore no more Rodman Pit in Ocala National forest.  Just thought you guys would want to know.

So sad to hear Jhawk. It will only be a memory now I guess. Appreciate the update.

I put an article in the opinion section of the Star Banner, hopefully it will get put in. I will post it when I see it. Also check the other thread under open discussion regarding rodman.

Hey Prairie Master, send me a PM I want to know who my neighbor is (I live in Nassauville).

It was some environmental group that filed an appeal and were in with the FS right before us.  Our legislative advocate from united four wheel drive caught glimpses of the appeal and she said it was laid out like a lawsuit at that point (that was in May).

I know I shouldn't say this but, man would I love to strap a tree hugger to my 4x4 and drag his or her a$$ through the trails, smack'em a few times on some trees and then drag'em through a stinky mud pit.   Sorry ... It's just a fantasy.  I feel better now.

Sorry to hear about the shut down.

I'm with you on that Thrumud, but I just don't get it.  Thousands of acres can be burned out of existance, polluting the air and displacing all the animals for years, but our wheels don't even come close to that kind of destruction.  It's just bleeding heart politics.  What is going to happen if Hillary gets in office?   Evil
