In response to our moaning about the long night at the race track Thunderbowl has decided to run the Quad classes every other Sat starting April 22nd. The following race would then be May 6th but that may change. This was done so that quads aren't running the same nights as Sprints so hopefully we can all get home at a decent hour...instead of 4:30am like 2 weeks ago. The Sprints also completely dry out the track and make it bumpy and rough for us.  We hope to have a much better track surface when the Sprints aren't there. This will also allow for the forming of a 3rd adult quad class, Intermediate ( if turnout is strong ) for Gary, Scooter, Steven, and some others.

As for last nights race (the 15th) I think the head count was 18, the 22nd is looking like a much larger turnout especially with the Tally,Georgia, and Jax crews rolling in.

Quad 32, we saw you roll in...where did you disappear to? Tou racing the 22nd??? Undecided

Scooter...congrats on your win in the Beginner class, Gary's in deep doodoo now. Crap
Brian won the main again in the Open class but the top 4 were tight.

Here's the results as best I remember but correct me if I'm wrong.
Beginner ( big class)
1st  Scooter  Suzuki 450
2nd Steven Honda 400
3rd  White Raptor
4th  ?
5th  ?
6th  ?
7th  ?
8th  ?
9th  ?
10th Banshee dns
 Open Quad
1st  Brian Honda 500 something
2nd Raymond Banshee
3rd Doug Honda 450
4th Dave Banshee
5th Tim Yam 450
6th Steven Honda 450
7th new guy Honda 450
8th Scott Raptor dns

  Scott,
Thanks for the tips, making small gains but making progress. See you and Derek Sat.

well unfortunately the new schedule wont work for me so well.
I pick up my boy in ocala on fridays on those weekends, so i would be driving from taqmpa to ocala and back friday, then same thing sat for the races, and then AGAIN sunday to take him home... thats just way to much time on the road for my taste, ill have to cut it back to once a month or one every two months..

Apparently Brian (#3) was upset that Tim was going to water the middle lane around the track to hold down dust and he allegedly used some foul language and was black flagged and told to leave the track but all was forgiven after the heat and he was allowed to run the main which also caused the delay starting the main because we all thought #3 should have started on the back row since he wasn't supposed to be scored during the second heat  Huh.   We were confused.

On the nights when the Sprints lay down the black rubber groove if you are running too low of air pressure you may blister the inside edge of your tires, especially the right rear, I know this cause I've done it once already. Ronnies says run at least 3-4 lbs and I am guilty of running less than 2. On nights when there isn't a rubber patch you shouldn't have a problem.

Wow,
Thats not good news, finally got the chance to come and check it out this weekend. Definately interested in getting out there with you guys. If this new schedule holds true, i guess that wont be happening. The nights scheduled are my weekends to work. Glad this was posted before i sunk any money into it. Ill keep a close watch for any changes. Oh yeah, we got there late and didnt get to see practice, Whos responsible for the gaping section of wall missing??? Heard it was one of the quads.

Well something had to give. Everyone who has been racing has complained about the late nights because we were running the same nights as the high dollar winged Sprints, They run a 25 lap main with 20 cars and alot of cautions plus they make the track surface rough and dry for the quads. The schedule change was proposed at the drivers meeting and those who were there to race made the decision. I hope there will be nights you can make it, the racing there is really good.
The hole in the fence happened in practice by a new rider on a Banshee. I heard he said he couldn't find the brakes. Only damage was a tie rod, no injuries. Pretty wild...

Guys, Why dont we set up one time a month so every can plan better (example 1st sat of every month) then if some can race more often thats a bonus. I want to start having more littleones racing aswell so bring them and let them race and have fun too. What do you all think?
