I have seen quit a few bikes on this forum that have paddles.  Being from Cali that is pretty much all we used.  I have yet to find an area in Florida that has that much sand.

Were can we ride with alot of sand? Huh

Can't you swim at Jasper to? Maybe we should plan the next group ride there during the summer heat around June? A weekend of swimming and riding Grin

June is way to far out. I guess you have never been to Jasper or you would understand. You can go all the way to the Suwannee river and swim there. Last year we even camped out on the riverbed. It was cool that night also because of how it sits down in the valley and the sand having the river flowing through it most of the year I guess also. Even though it was as dry as the beach.

Is Jasper big enough to put something together like a Rodman group ride there later in the year? Or would we risk getting the place shut down?

Its like 12 miles south of the bridge and 4 miles north of the bridge. Probably to many quads at one time. I think we had 35 quads last year on one ride. Plus there were other quads out there. Its a trek south and back or trek north and back.

I forgot that there would be parking issues also. Not a lot of parking areas.

Well maybe a small group ride then in between Rodman V and VI? Never been to Jasper but heard about some nice hills there!

There will be lots of smaller group rides there this year..trust me  Wink That's where I go almost every weekend during the summer. Yea the group we had last year of about 35 or so riders was about as big as it could handle without becoming an issue. There is deffinately only so much room to park without getting in trouble with the law.

All this talk about sand and hills is getting me exited.  I cant find any hills in Florida and the only sand has been in Lakeland which really wasent much.  How far from Orlando is Jasper and Rodman?

Rodman is about 2 1/2 hrs from Orlando. Jasper a lot father North. I would say probably 4hrs or so but I have never been there.

If there are plans of doing a big Jasper ride I would suggest that all 4X4's park on the bed It was decent enough to drive on last year. so long as you kept the tires on the ground Grin

If you park in the riverbed, make sure that you try not to spin your tires or you will spin down. Its best to just keep it going just over a high idle. Just enough to keep your truck moving.
