I'm looking to start riding atvs. However, I'm thinking that renting before I buy is a smart move. I'd like to go to croom on a weekday so I can stay out of the more experienced riders way. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might rent an atv close to croom?

The shop right out side the gate OAS is suppose to be starting to rent quads...I don't know if they have started yet or not but I would give them a call first since they are right there!!!  I am sure if you look around on this website you could find their number somewhere on here!!  Hope this helps?

Eaglerider in Orlando right near downtown ( Phone 407-316-8687) rents automatic Polaris Trailblazer 250's. Not very powerful but fun for a beginner. It's about an hour or so from Croom though. Might want to call and ask if they have a Croom sticker already on the quad because you probably don't want to spend $50 to buy a sticker for their quad if you are going to return it to them next day. Also it's free to ride at Big Scrub or most other places in Ocala.
