12 Hours of Sebring Race
«

I have heard there are several road racing fans on this site. Anyone with some good suggestions on attending this event. This will be my first time, I will have my 8 year old son. Parking? What time to get there? Is it a good race day? I will be staying in Lake Placid for the weekend (doing some riding too) Anyone with some experiance at this race venue please sound off. I would welcome your thoughts and the do's and dont's. Thanks in advance.

Do stay the whole race!!! The American LeMans Series are always good races. Make sure you walk around the paddock and let your son see the cars up close. Also if you are going to visit the "zoo"(across the bridge and they call it Green Park) visit it early. At night the girls are known to flash their top and bottoms for some beads. You can leave to go sleep and then come back to see the finish. There are always a couple good wrecks toward the end of the race. If you like it, you need to make plans for Daytona next year, it's a 24hour race with alot bigger teams usually.

We will be there cheering for Risi Racing .... not sure how they will do with the New Ferrari F430GT
The drivers will be Ralf Kelleners, Koln, Jaime Melo, & Cascavel.

Its starting to sound like alot of fun, I just have to keep my little guy busy. He can't sit for very long before he wants to brake camp for the concession area or Walmart who knows. I got him to sit through 8 innings of Major League Baseball yesterday. Or maybe I should solo this one time, just to check it out and maybe meet up with some folks here. Sounds selfish on my part. I have never even seen these cars race before, and I want to see the whole thing if possible.

If you bring him make sure you get him some headphones....It's LOUD!
Thats what it's all about
I myself love that part
I would not recommend the foam ear pieces for kids.
Also you have to were long pants and closed toe shoes if you go into the pits.

I think everyone can get up to the pits, but I don't think everyone can get into the hot pits.

Paddock is included with all supertickets though.
Last time I went I was in a Suite with APAC and got to meet Mr. Panoz and some other really rich guys. They had all you can eat food and open bar and every hour they would bring us hourly results sheets, thats the way to do it. I still have that ticket and nex lanyard hanging up, im proud of it, lol.

WOW ! We had a blast!
I took 500 Pictures and 2 mini movies clips
At about 8:07 pm I was on Speed Channel
They were interviewing Jaime Melo one of the Drivers for Risi Competizione #62 and we were right behind them, my brother called and said he saw me
They were doing very good all day running 5th to 8th overall and back and forth in 1st and 2nd but ended up 3rd by a couple seconds and 11th overall. The car had the second fastest lap at Sebring on Wednesday, Giuseppe Risi is very pleased with this car and his new driver...Jaime
He signed my ticket also
WooHa
The winning Car the Audi was very impressive! It is the new Audi R10 diesel it purrs around the track, there were 2 of them but one blew up and Alan McNish drove the other to victory Lane
I'll sort through my pictures and post a few, I have a few from all of the CRAZY people in the crowd.
Hey Dave we did not know what you look like....I forgot to ask
We were at the Spring Break Zone at noon.....so many people

I wish I woulda remembered to record the race while I was gone. Sucks I missed it, but I got quite a few snook(no keepers
) so it was worth it.
