I've done the pumpkin and bunny run and had a blast.  Would love to do them again unfortunately it's a 4+hr drive from Sarasota to get there.  I can't camp on Friday which means I need to pay for a hotel Friday night or sleep in my truck at the gate till it opens.  Other option being get up at 4am and drive to wait in a mile long line to get in.

Last time I went we roped off our area and every one closed in on us so we couldn't all be together.  Had 2 quads hit by trucks and  had a truck hit by a quad.

Cost to ride for 1 night well actually a couple hours... over $100.  Cost me roughly that in gas for the truck alone.  Then there's food and entry fees, etc.  Ends up being a very expensive 3 hr ride for me.

For that cost I can afford to buddy up w/ friends and ride out of state for an entire weekend.  Or I could sit on a cruise ship sipping coctails and on the ocean island hopping for a weekend.  Sorry that would be a no for me.  I'll be at the ranch or riding somewhere a little more budget friendly.  I really do wish I could go but it's just too much travel and expense for so little time riding.  Hope every one has fun out there.

No, the entry fee isn't that steep.  What I'm saying is by the time I'm done paying for the entry fee ($50 I'm guessing), gas ($100 round trip), hotel($50), food/drinks($50), etc it ends up costing me well roughly $250 bucks total.  And all I get out of it is a few hours riding time for one night.

Where as if I took that money and split gas, hotel, and shared food cost I could ride Durhamtown or another out of state spot for $200.  Last year I went w/ seebeejim and about 7 others to Red Creek Mississippi.  Total cost of the trip was $200 and we rode for 4 days and were able to ride at night.  Had a killer condo overlooking the water.

If I had that $200 I'd rather be ridng out of state, boating or fishing or on a cruise.

Hey,
Do you have a website/link on where you guys go riding in Red Creek?  They allow night rides?

Thanks,
