That is true. No riding in the wet lands, ponds, or the like in any national forest. Call them.

Please don't ride in them, it will only give another black eye to the sport.
Not only a hefty fine if caught.

There is mud elsewhere

the only place you can ride in big scrub is by the power lines now

they are closing all the good spots

This is true, no mud riding - the wanna be rangers might start to read you the riot act.

In talking with some people at BS it is my conclusions that they are closing BS except for 5 miles of the power lines??

Hey bigbird! I think you might want to read the replies to your post once more. Ocala is not the place for mud and water riding! People like you are causing the big crackdown on the forest. Dig a hole in your back yard if ya wanna go muddin. Don't do it in a National Forest where the intent of it is to help "preserve" our natural resources.

Besides L-Cross, there's Everglades WMA(south side of Holylands) on US27 @ the Palm Beach/Broward line. Please don't dig mud holes @ ONF. Include me and my friends on that list of riders who WILL call the Park Ranger when we see it happening @ ONF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I think it sucks not to be able to play in the mud wherever I want, I think we need more people like you AintSkeered. ONF just isn't the right place for it.

Hey guys maybe it's just me but it seems y'all have come down hard on this guy.  He's not saying he wants to tear up ONF and dig mud holes.  He's just asking if it's ok to play in mud and water and where to find the stuff he can play in.  Y'all ripped on him and yet he didn't come back saying he was going to tear it up.

I applaud anyone who helps keep ppl abiding by the rules.  We need this so that we don't put any more marks on our sport.  Thank you for your efforts because I do the same thing as well.

I hope you are just making comments in general letting all be known that mudding at ONF won't be tolerated.  I just read it that y'all were getting on a guy that's asking a simple question.

As for mudding.  ONF is some of the greatest trail riding in the state but they are correct there is no mudding there.  Try 5A, Seaworld, l-cross, c&r motorsports, mudfest, or purchase some property at holopaw or river ranch.  Good luck.
