I have question about kawasaki 03's prairie 360's 4x4's?
Well does prairie 360 4x4 have more problems?
How are maintance are?
Should i go with 04 honda rancher at 4x4 or p 360 4x4?
I was looking on atvtraderonline last night and i saw pic
of p 360 with front lock diff yellow lever bar on right side of quad.
But i did look at 2004 kawasaki product guide i have here
and it hads preloaded shocks on p360's 4x4's.
Does anybody owned a p360 on here
and would love see some pics of quad.If got one with preloaded
shocks pic and speedmeter pics.
That would be great to see!!!
Thanks,
amhighlander

Well at least this machine is very close to a king quad.
But I have been watching the atv shows such as atvtv on great outdoor network for almost about year so far.
If anybody owns a kaw p 360 from years between 2003- up to 2006.
How do they perform on riding?

I've had mine for about 3 years now. It's a great dependable machine. Most of the drivetrain components are shared with the P650 so the parts will never be over-stressed. Best brakes in class, 2wd/4wd, front locker, heavy tow rating. It has lots of torque, enough to run 27" tires if you want. It will climb a tree but wont set any speed records. Belt NEVER slips on mine. $1k cheaper than the Honda. I traded in a Honda Foreman 400 on mine and the P360 is a far better all around machine. Look at a website called NYROC - there is lots of modification info on the P360 there. Get in touch with me if you are ever in the Melbourne area - I'll let you ride mine and see what you think for yourself.

I went to nyroc's web site last night and i saw
all mods on tech board in there and their is alot
of good tips on repairing p360's.
It sounds like a very good riding trail 4x4 machine.
But prices on used models are about almost same as
04 honda rancher and it's alot cheaper then honda.
But bad part i might have get good gps handheld
for speedometer and plug c lighter kit for it.I guess you can put itp
atr tires to impoved riding later on.I know it's good mud trail machine and great working farm machine.
I might have to go to kawasaki dealer in lake city to try a p360
for newer 06' models are about same as 03 model.

P360's supposed to be alot nicer, especially with that variable limited slip front differential. Little level allows you to vary the amount of slip down to a lock.

I have seen front lock diff does on 05 kaw on atv tv show
while back during 05 and showing how rides through snow and mud
on vinson 05 4x4 with yellow lever.I guess they are same type of front lock
diff for 03 p360.I know it grips better in stuck muddy spots.
But i have seen what power of front lock diff does
and increases power to all 4wheels.

BTW nroc website hads alot of good tips on fixing
your needs.I'm still doing alot reading on P360's and i found
one tip that had where you can order manual or look on kaw
web site that shows all diagrams parts on machine.
That is so cool the way it shows on there and it's
like you have the whole manual book right there.

Well if my plans goes good this year
before my birthday hits on that day.
i'm going down to gainesville to try applyed
a used atv with outside fincing if goes through
very well i'll be happy!!
But if outside fincing doesn't go through
then i have to save up more money on it.
But i have done it one time back in 2002
at honda dealer in lake city, when i was
trying apply a brand new rubcon 4x4
and but it didn't went through becuase
my parents had bad credit.
I hope it goes through for me this time when it happens!!

Yea, I realize this post is somewhat old, and you already probably made your decision, but anyone else reading, I have Kawaski 360 Prairie, and I LOVE IT. I wanted a Kawi, bcz my old Kawi (1985 185) ran Forever. Gave it to my neighbor, and still runs to this day! And for it's size was a tough little bike. As for my Kawi 360, man I truly love this bike. My husband has a Honda Rancher and my Kawi goes where his goes, but I like my ride alot better. I also love the ground clearance, it is great. It sits higher and the adjustable back shock is great too. As for the belt, yes I have gotten it wet once. But understand, I tend to think that my atv can swim (lol). It dried out in no time, and was back on the trail. Want to do some research to see if any aftermarket belts, heard they may be out there, but no hurry. Also the locking Differential (sp) is great and has gotten me out of lot of holes. Next step is some good tires and I am set.
The only thing I wish it had was speedometer, and also working on that cup holder thing....
But seriously, GREAT ATV!!!

Dont get the AT Rancher.
Get the normal 350 Rancher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is way better, just the ride is alittle stiff only because the shock are so soft!
My Rancher goes where all of the big dogs go and more!
I have a 2006 Honda Rancher 4X4 ES

The shocks on a rancher are soft? *stiffles laughter* They suck butt unless you're racing around on a road, then they make it real sporty.
