Please people wear your Helmets and gear. I just can't stand to see people hurt. The poor guy was jumping the road out there on his bike and crashed really bad. I don't think he is going to live. He wasn't breathing or moving and bleeding everywhere from his head. Whoever he was I hope and pray he makes it but it didn't look good.

It just makes me feel so frustrated when I see all these prople out there with no protection on. You don't realize how easily you can get hurt. This guy didn't even have a shirt on. You know, after you get hurt you would give anything to go back in time and put your helmet and gear on before your crash. I fell so bad for this guy and his family.  Everybody needs to learn from this terrible accident. EVERYONE PLEASE WEAR YOUR GEAR BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

And I bet if this keeps happening they are going to close this spot for sure. Sad

That's terrible man.  I guess he thought it would look cool to not wear anything, but it doesn't look cool getting killed jumping that tiny jump.

I've fallen from being 15' ft. up in the air.Wearing gear, I barely felt it. Coming down hill to a big burm in 4th gear, pulled the brake lever and it broke in two. I learned the hard way not wearing riding boots, sprained my ankle so bad, I couldn't ride for 6 months.

Hate to say it but he was one of about 6 imbeciles who were out there jumping that road and riding their sport quads on only the rear wheels all aftrernoon. Too many near misses to count, too. If it was the guy we saw, he had no shirt or shoes on. Because there's no legal places to ride and Holeyland side is closed, everyone was bunched-up on the waterlogged side where it's still too wet for sport quads. FWC was out protecting the wildlife and educating many that they can only ride on the Everglades/Francis Taylor WMA side until May, but, there was no sign of them protecting public safety by enforcing the speed limit/reckless driving laws, all flippin day.

As sad as it sounds, it's Darwin's theory of evolution. Only the smart/strong will survive.  It bet he is not  looking too cool now with all those tubes hooked up to him......

I just talked to a guy that wishes all the @#%$@#$*& quad riders were banned from there. He grew up in Davie and spent most of his life hunting/fishing etc out there. He says the quad riders will be banned soon. If they piss off the wrong guy, someone may even get a bullet someday. I told him thats pretty extreme. He said the Full Track and Half Track crowd hates us riding there. These accidents and injuries continue to to plague the ATV community everywhere. Its only a matter of time. Enough Said.

thats sad to hear. i hope he makes it.

you know its these very people that later complain of nowhere to ride.
well if they wouldnt act like fools...............

hey my son and i both have sport bikes and when we want to jump we go to the track. let me tell ya it aint cheap, a trip to the track will easily run 120.00 to 150.00 bucks between entrance fee, gas, food, etc.

wont cost me anything to jump the road at holylands, but its called respect for others.

again its tragic and i hope he makes it.

Its always sad when someone gets hurt or dies but come on people you can buy a helmet fo $60. I was at Eureka on Sun and there were a LOT of riders without helmets and only a few months ago a rider was air lifted out of there with a busted skull.
If you dont wear protection for yourself, then wear it for the children, wife, parents, etc. that will be left behind when you die.

I am really sorry to hear that about your friend weston rider. I saw him lying there on the ground and I was just feeling so helpless that I couldn't do anything for him. I knew he was in big trouble. One guy was  really trying to help him, giving him mouth to mouth  to give him air to the chopper arrived. He tried his best.

That is why WE SHOULD WEAR OUR HELMETS & GEAR.  I can't understand why some people can't get that through their heads !   My helmet saved my life just a few weeks ago, my Raptor 700 (weight 368 lb) flipped me when I hit a 3 foot drop at just under 20 mph on a trail and landed on my helmet trapping me under the bike, could you imagine if I was not wearing my helmet.  Please, please wear your helmets!

My prayers to this guy.

I was at the cross-over Sunday morning and saw a guy jumping the road on a sport with no helmet or shirt.  Sorry to hear about your friend.

this is why we are gonna get banned damnit

I pray this kid pulls through some how.  All that could have been avoided if he would have just worn his helmet.

I admit, I don't wear my helmet when I'm riding in the mud and what not...I never go over 5mph and the few times that i might, its maybe 15-20mph.  When i ride my buddies yfz, i wear a helmet! those are scary without helmets.
