so in this case ...no loss

Thats a bit harsh isn't it. I agree that people need to be responsible for their own actions but this guy may die. It was STUPID on his part but we all do stupid things from time to time.

sorry no i dont think its harsh, people like that give resposible riders a 'bad' name. these peple have no feelings about  anybody but themselfes.this is why there are little places to ride and nobody in the gov. want to set aside places to ride cause of irrisponsible riders.

im sorry, i dont feel one bit sorry for someone who doesnt care about anybody but themself. just a waist. Cry

i agree...god forbid lonestar ever does something wrong.  If he ever speeds on a highway, runs through a yellow light at the last second, cuts across an intersection when he misses his turn or a number of other "irresponsible" things this "model" citizen does; well, I hope he gets whats coming to him: DEATH!  Undecided  How stupid are you?  I wish I could lower myself to your level and wish death on your children when they do something foolish, but I'm not the least bit like you.  God, to say that this kid DESERVES to DIE because he was being a jackass on a four-wheeler is RIDICULOUS and you, sir, are an @$$ho!e.

yeah he's probally thinking now it wasn't such a good idea!!! but every weekend i'm out there ,there is always some fool jumping the road,,,or doing donuts in the parking lot and peppering all our vehicles with rocks....theses people only think of themselves..hope he doesn't die,and just maybe he will learn some respect for others...think of the little kids out there riding around in the parking lot,,and some fool jumping the road and landing on top of them...........that would suck for the kids.....fwc needs to sit in that parking lot and issue tickets to those who only think of themselves

I was out there with Aintskeered and we left about 3:30. When we left there was a lot of other people loading up and leaving. I am very surprised it was not one of those guys on the sport bikes. WESTON RIDER Please keep us updated.
Has anyone or any group ever considered creating a partnership with FWC to have a community watch group? People who ride there regularly sort of Police the area for people without helmets that are riding recklessly and Educate them on safe ways to ride. And of course explain to them how to be courteous to other riders. I would volunteer Smiley and help co-ordinate.

Hey SoFLAeger,
Sorry i dont see the same thing as 'running a yellow light', miss a turn, or speed beiging in the same "boat" as NOT wearing safty equipment and riding a atv.
This person put himself in the place he is now because he didnt take what, five minutes of extra time to put on his helmet? five minutes that might cost him his life!

And weston rider, were you riding with your buddy when this all happend? If so.....why didn't tell him to put on his equipment?
im sure with 6500 members on this site word has gotten around time after time about someone getting hurt or killed rideing without proper equipment, but im sure these people believe that "it wont happen to me"

I have just heard that this guy was removed from life support yesterday. This is unofficial. I have a friend that knows the family. I was told he was 23 and had a fiance since High School. God rest his soul.   Again this is unofficial but came from someone that knows the family.

LONEWOLF310,
You are way out of line on this deal, you are the kind of person that we do not need on this site, yes maybe a helmet would have saved him but that is hindsight now, im sure when you were (23 years YOUNG) you were not the perfect responsible person 100% of the time either,,,  and WESTONRIDER my family is praying for your friend!!!

yes pledger your right! this site needs more people that dont take responsibility for there own actions, we need more people to ride drunk on streets with atv ( seen many times in palm bay before the compound was shut down)we need more people to ride over private property, and i can go on and on.......
I just think that anybody who doesn't take the extra time to put on their equipment before they ride is playing with their life. and that extra five minutes is not worth it to them....... so be it. that is his or her choice that they or their friends and family will have to live with.
this accident could or could not be avoided, but the out come most likely would have been different if he had worn a pertective device.
life is all about choices and some times we make the wrong ones, and make the right ones, either way you, yourself is resposible for that choice.

Lone,
I completely agree with you, The harsh part is that you seem to have no sympathy for someone that as far as we can tell at best will be a vegetable for the rest of his life.
Yes, people should be held responsible and this guy was obviously an idiot but show some compassion bro.

This guy was great. He was fisherman, ATV enthusiasts and loved the outdoors. I heard of his passing on the floridasportsman fishing site. Sad and my condolences go to his family. Any moron who cannot differentiatte when to talk down about someone who is close to death should be beaten!!! You can talk all you want when you are dealing with broken bones, cuts, and road rash, but death!!! That is insane and you should be beaten!!! Freagin retards!!!!

think it, Don't say it!!!!! What if his son or daughter or wife is on here and reading all of this?Huh

Yes i DO have compassion for  all people........just more for some and less for some others.

and pledger,  i guess my comment went over your head..sorry you couldnt figure it out.

and Eworm do you think any person who takes unnecessary risks that can affect their family and friends should be beaten too?

now that you all are in an uproar, .........the next time you all go  out riding  and see someone riding without gear or being irresponsible will  you have the balls to stop them and tell them  how their action can hurt themselfes and family and the ATV sport or are you just go on and mind your own bussiness and ignore it?
i have seen more things added about my post in the last few days that say things i said wich i didnt.
my prayers are with his family

I have not been able to find anything on the news or in the papers about the crash here in South Florida.  I guess keeping it quiet might be a good thing.  Whether your wearing protective gear or not FWC does not allow you to jump the Levee's or go faster than 25mph in Holeylands.  I'm sorry for your loss Weston Rider and hope everyone learns from this horrible experience.  Be safe out there.

It is terrible loss and I feel for his family. I also understand what lonewolf is saying. This is happening WAY WAY to often. I pray that maybe some good comes out of this and maybe it will scare someone into being more responsible and maybe prevent another death.
