Newbie in Orlando

Hey everyone! I just got my first ATV last night. An '05 Kawasaki KFX 400 in orange. I am very new to the atv scene, so please bear with me. I have been hanging out with my boyfriend's friends that have four wheelers, and I just had to get one. I want to make a hobby out of it and maybe do some racing. Only time will tell though. I would love to hear some input on where are the best riding places. I have been once to Scottsmoor, and several times out by Seaworld. Also if anyone knows some good websites to get chick riding gear please let me know. Well I hope to make some friends on here.

Welcome we all like chicks on quads. Enjoy the site as it is the best. Fox has some nice rideing gear for the laides, my daughter was looking into geting some from them when she moved and had to stop rideing. Again welcome [smiley=Clap.gif] [smiley=ThumbsUp.gif] [smiley=Clap.gif] [smiley=Clap.gif]

Welcome!! The 2 places you already mentioned is pretty much it, around here.Keep an eye out for the group ride sec, when you see a ride @ Ocala, pack your crew and head out there.I think it is the best place around here, just stay away from Big Scrub campground, way too many woops there. See Ya!! Enjoy the new quad & always wear a helmet.

Hey QbanATVChick, congrats on the new atv
I just sold my DS 650 and am looking to buy a Z400 this week. As far as new places to ride have you ever been out to Ocala? There are many different places to start from in Ocala. Big Scrub does have a lot of whoops but it's still fun if you know where to ride and probably closest to you in Orlando. Say what's the break in time (hours) on the KFX and did the dealer say you open up the throttle at all during that time? Just curious before I get mine. Thanks...

Welcome aboard. Try the Ocala National Forest, lots of good riding out there, and enjoy the new quad. [smiley=Approve.gif]

Wednesday practice is from 4pm to 10p. We will be there about 6. I know Flea Jumper will be there early. It cost 30.00 to ride and you need helmet and boots at least.
See you there

Welcome Qban! I just joined myself and I am from Apopka, real close to O-town. I am interested in the same. I don't know anyone that has a quad but I used to race 3-wheelers at Dade City back in 85-87 and did pretty good. But because of school, my parents made me quit. Since then I have ridden a lot of different 4-wheelers and my current 97 GSX-R600 street bike.
Well tomorrow I am trading the bike on a 99 Banshee. I hope those are good race bikes, always heard good things about them. I want to start off just riding around at different places but eventually racing.
