Well i can relate to the challenger incident, so i decided i will make a post about a historical event i can relate to. Where were you on September 11 of 2001? Me, i was in Mrs. Roses english class and our PE teacher came in and whispered in her ear what had happened. It took a few periods before anyone would share with us what happened. I was in the 6th grade at the time. It is hard to believe it was almost 4 1/2 years ago. I got home to turn on the TV and see it all and i was in shock. I still hate dem basturds that did that!

I remember pretty much everything.
I was in 6th grade, english class,.... No one really knew what happened, so they passed around notes to staff and all the students were like wtf is going on? we got called to the chapel/auditorium and they told us what they knew (which wasnt much at the time).. Parent started picking up their kids, kids that didn't get picked up went to a room with a tv and cable to watch what was going on on the news. there was alot of noise people talking and stuff but still at the same time a silence it was weird....

I was also in 6th grade, homeroom. We were on our way to 1st period, and my friend (96warrior) told me a plane hit the twin towers, I was like oh that sucks (thinking it was just a small plane.) then a few minutes later the second plane hit. Then we knew it was an attack. I never really knew what was going on, but for some reasone we went to the library that day. And ended staying in there and watching it. And kids were getting called home early . I knew something serious had happend because it was on almost every channel, even MTV.

I was in the truck when the 1st plane hit. As I was standing in the teller line at the bank, I watched the 2nd plane hit on tv.

Mom was going to philadelphia that day because of a family death. I was in 6th grade and heard that plane crashed into the world trade center, didnt really think much of it, was only 12 years old. Then I heard it was a terrosits act. I was worried about my mom but got a note saying she was fine. Eerie day. Never forget the fallen heros

I was in 7th grade in my English Class, when it hit we immediatly went to the library and watched it all day. I didn't realise the importance of the event because I had never even heard of the twin towers (I know its pretty bad) so I was kinda slacking off and a teacher got really mad at me. I didn't know how big of a deal it was but I regret doing that because I see how disrespectful it was now.

7th grade history class, we watched it on the news until everything got hyped then they made us turn it off and "forget" about it unti lthe end of the day. The whole day it was talked about, kids left early, kids thought we were going to die that day..A very intense, horrific day in my life.

It was Mrs scarlet in the Den with the candle stick. Wrong thoughts...I was actually Finishing up an alignment when I was Working for Tires Plus when a Co-Worker brought it to my attention, we all huddled close to the TV's and Radios for all the updates. I would have thought that a Nuke would have been the correct response then.

I had the day off work, so I had the TV on as I did things around the house. I heard it right from the start, the feeling I got was and is indescribable. I still want to nuke them, even though I know it would be wrong on the long haul. It's just amazing what some people will do.

I was in like 1st grade or something at the time. I can only remember when we got home from school and put on the TV and we watched the video clips. It was terrible, my dad got sent with Florida Task Force 2 to try and find people in the wreckage. He brought back a bunch of pieces of glass from the buildings which were like 3/4 inch thick, core samples of marble from when they'd drill in and push in a microphone to see if anyone was inside, bolts that had sheered apart during the collapse, and a whole lotta pictures. He was there for almost three weeks which was probably one of the main reasons I can remember it.

My company is headquartered in NYC. I work there a couple of weeks every month. I was on a plane heading into Laguardia airport that morning when the first plane hit. They circled us in NY airspace and we had no idea what was happening, just that one of the twin towers was on fire.
They finally re-routed us to NIA in Washington DC and then the Pentagon got hit. One of the passengers heard the stewardesses talking about being under attack and everyone on the plane was freaked out.
They re-routed us again to Baltimore. We were up in the air for quite awhile while they were landing all the planes. By the time we got off the plane the news was showing everything, and we were all in shock.
A few of us grabbed a shuttle bus to Annapolis since all hotel rooms and rental cars were gone in Baltimore.
I stayed in that hotel room in Annapolis for 2 days trying to reach friends and family in NYC, and finally was able to get on amtrak back to NY. I spent the next 3 weeks travelling past ground zero on my way into the city every morning and back out to Staten Island every night.
We all did what we could to help ....but it was unreal. I finally went home to Florida by rental car on october 1st.
I got back on a plane to NYC on the morning of 10/12. There was a plane whose motor fell off the plane Queens, while we were in NY airspace.
They thought it was terrorists. Our plane got re-routed to Philadelphia. The next day I went back to Florida and didn't return to NY for a year.
Every time I fly to NY I say a prayer for the people who lost their lives and their loved ones. It was a day that changed many lives.

I was getting a hair cut in the Barber Shop I had been getting it cut in since I was 5. You know 1 tv 4 chairs, town gossip and then the news...what a horrible accident, How could this happen?? Then reality sank in as the second plane crashed into tower two. Horror followed with disbelief as we watched people jump to thier death, rather than burn...what a choice to make. Not a millitary base, Not a war zone... 6500 men, women and children murdered and 1000s more affected and not forgotten by this American, Not now ...Not Ever!!! Liberals you have it all wrong..Lets get back to the morrals and values this Great country was founded on....Stand up for whats right with our nation, make and effort to support our nation and her troops, stop burning the flag that so many died to defend and remember "In God We Trust" is not only stamped on our currency it is stamped in our History!! Do I remember that day??? You Bet, and more americans should!!!

I was doing some survey work in a garbage plant in Miami. They sent me out to where I was going to work in a golf cart with a guy who was from somewhere in the middle east. As we were leaving, I heard one guy say "be carefull, that sand n***** might have a bomb too" and I thought that was pretty mean. I really couldn't believe the guy said it. I had no idea that we had been attacked yet. The guy driving me told me about the attack on the way. When I got back in the truck to head back to my shop, I listened to it on the news. We were all freaked out, so we closed the shop up early.

I was at work as I usually am.One of my workers ran to get me and as I watched the second plane hit all I remembered was when I was around 9 years old my father took myself and grandfather into the city when the towers were still being built. My grandparents lived in Jersey City at the time.As I looked up standing next to the tower's I thought boy these sure are tall. All I know is I saw them go up and saw them come down. My second thoughts were for my cousin who is was a detective in nyc.He was fine thank God.Then My Prayers went out to all those people and their family whose lives were so needlesly lost that day.God Bless us all.

at work, went to the other side of the office because it seems like my entire staff vanished and when I opened the door to the other side they were all gathered around one of the accountant's offices watching CNN online(no tv in house).
I was such a dedicated worker that I saw that two planes had hit, and said "that really sucks, does anyone have family in NYC?" when noone replied I said "OK, fine, we will hear all the news when we get home, back to work."

I was at the washington Mutual in Deltona cashing my work check and picking up lunch when I noticed everyone standing around a TV. When I figured out what had happened I went straight back to work and informed my coworkers. We spent most of the day just listening to the radio and watching it online.
