Am I the only person on this planet that noticed country music has completely gone to sh*t? I mean, everytime I turn on the radio its always a song about sara beth getting cancer, or jesus taking the wheel. Roll Eyes Lets not forget that new song called "I want to cry". I mean what happend to the counrty with a little rock n' roll effect? It seems 80% percent of todays country is all about whining. It's all pop, or GAY boy bands such as rascall flats. Angry I wonder how waylon jennings, and hank jr. feels about this? Undecided

How does Waylon feel about it? Probably don't give too much a crap. He's dead. I see your point though. George Strait is da man. I am sick of Keith Urban queerfolk boy and the likes. Country to me is George Jones and Johnny Cash. Did u see the Johnny Cash movie. I thought it was gonna be a damn joke but that Phoinex guy was great.

I took my 14 year old son to see the movie, "I Walk The Line" also. We both think it was a very good movie, but I like country anything. I was surprised my son liked it. Don't forget Patsy Cline, or Scruggs & Flatt.

I say get over it! I think we need those songs to show that good still exists, If you want to talk about real country, don't talk about The Highwaymen, talk about the old country stars before they changed it. Country just changes every now and then and its how it goes.

I agree with your point, but practice being able to get your point across without profanity and more people will really listen to you instead of waiting for their turn to speak.

I honestly rarely even listen to the radio anymore. All i hear is Sara Beth, Come a lil closer baby, better life. Sorry but that isnt country. It is pop or soft rocks. What ever happened to hank and all them? They may have good voices but the voices arent country. Ill stick to all my old toby before he went pop also, george strait and george jones, alan jackson, randy travis, hank and hank jr, david alan coe, garth, tim mcgraw, travis tritt etc. Country nowa days aint even country.

When I was only 2 yrs older than you claim to be, I was sitting in a hospital room with my best friend and her mother when the doctor came in and told her that she had cancer.

I can still remember her screaming and crying that she did not want to die. I can't listen to Sara Beth without remembering that day and can't finish listening to the song without crying.

Country music has always been about really life. If you do not think Sara Beth is about real everyday life, you need to get off the computer and get out a little more.

Country has certainly changed and I may not always agree with it, but I can change the station or put in my favorite country CD.

Sorry, but you touched a sore spot with Sara Beth.  Real country music is about struggling in life and remembering, not forgetting. Songs like Sara Beth make me remember like Country music is suppose to do.

you must be the minority  because if everybody felt this way all the stars that you say suck would be broke and would sing something else! the last time i checked those singers are RICH.........VERY RICH, so somebody likes them.

i like todays country and the old style too.

if there is one lesson in life its that everything changes  sometimes for better  sometimes for worse  nothing ever stays the same just when you get feeling comfortable  the %^$%# hits the fan  take a look at rocknroll  it has gone to sh%t also i was raised on country music my parents played in a band with all my relatives  they were called  the country drifters  im not a big fan of country or at least i wasnt  now i love to hear all the old stuff  it brings back great memories i played in a rocknroll band and toured the country for many years but now have lost interest the rocknroll  or so called rocknroll the music scene is depressing  its all about drugs and hate we live in a party oriented society and its all about the weekend and how f%cked up ur gonna get on friday night  frankly its disscusting  i like to party with the best of them but after 25 years of it  im kinda over it  it used to be smoke a little pot  have a few beers or go to a kegger on the weekend  but now its how much coke or crack can you smoke and listining to some rap as$hole talk about how he is gonna do ur sister or momma with a nine millimeter just remember   everything changes sometimes ya just gotta go with the flow and seperate urself from the bullsh$t

I think change is good, sometimes you might not like it,  but its impossible to avoid. If there was no change, some of us would still be riding around on Honda 3 wheeelers. Get over it. Life is good and its all about the journey,  not the destination.

It's all a big fad, being a teen e bopper was cool back when I was like in middle school with all it's boy bands like backstreet boy and n'sync, then it moved into rap with...well hell I never really listen to rap but I know at one point they had a bunch of boy and girl bands and now the the "country" scene is popular so more and more poopy bands like rascal flatts, keith urban and lonestar are going to grow in popularity.  Hopefully it won't last to long but there are some new talents that aren't too bad.

I somewhat agree. I do like some of the new country, but the stations stopped playing the old. I would like to here a mix of old and new.
