what is need to attain a yearly croom sticker the website says the vehicle has some restrictions but it fails to mention if a bill of sale or a title is required to attain a sticker to ride there. any help would be great

this is what the official website say about riding there.

Fee: Annual permits are required for each motorcycle and ATV using the Croom Motorcycle Area, and are good for the entire year (July through June). Fees are posted at the entrance gate and are pro-rated throughout the year. Payments can be made at the entrance gate, by cash and travelers check only.

Notes:

A Croom Motorcycle Area brochure with complete rules should be picked up at the entrance gate. Some of the rules that one should be aware of prior to arriving include the following:

All area users must enter at the entrance located at I-75 and US98/SR50 behind the Holiday Inn.

A permit is required to ride within the motorcycle area. The permit must be displayed on the front of each motorcycle and ATV. Persons operating motorcycles and ATVs without a permit will be subject to expulsion and/or fine.

Permits will be issued for two wheel cycles and 3 and 4 wheel ATVs. ATVs must meet the following requirements:
a) wheelbase of less than 55 inches
b) width of less than 45 inches
c) total vehicle weight less than 500 lbs.
d) travel on 3 or 4 low pressure tires
e) has a seat that is designed to be straddled by operator

All motorcycles and ATVs will be required to have mufflers in accordance with the Florida Highway Patrol Handbook.

All riders will wear approved protective headgear designed for motorcycles and ATVs.

Pets are not permitted.

Firearms not permitted.

Alcoholic beverages prohibited.

Motorcycle/ATV operators under age 16 are required to have direct adult supervision.

All non-street legal vehicles are required to be hauled or trailered in and out of the Croom Motorcycle Area.

Your quad or bike must have a title to ride on State land......Take your bill of sale to the tax office and they will run the VIN numbers from the frame ....if everything is clear they will give you a temp title that will get you in Croom. Then you will get the Title in the mail a couple weeks later.Croom is a fun place to camp and ride . My family and I go there once a year in early April.

What's up with the 500lbs limit.  I have a 350 rancher which is one of the smaller 4x4 and it was 540lbs.  Do they weight them??

If you follow these directions be prepared to pay a sales tax for the purchase price. You do not need a title!! Write down the VIN from your frame. Give that, your DL and $40 to the front gate and you will get a sticker. YOU DO NOT NEED A TITLE!!

croom is awesome but long drive from Cape. The new rules that you get at the gate says the weight limit is 900 lbs loaded weight. If it is factory it is legal. It would have to be a crazy machine not to get permitted.

2 weeks ago I took 2 atv's through, no title, just vins.
Last week we took a 3rd bike through, no title, just vins.

Last year we took 4 bikes through, no title, just vins.

I have ridden there off and on for about 23 years and have never given a title at the gate.
