but im wanting to make my 04 250 ex go faster and  do everything better, but i dont have any clue what to get exactly. or have much money, any help   tips suggestions  i have a free ear

my suggestion would be to wait till you can get a 400ex. dont get discouraged! remember that a 250ex is better than walking it would take 500 to 700 dollars to get big improvements.

wait and find a decent used 400 EX, meanwhile work on your riding skills on the 250.

You would have to spend LOTS to make a 250 EX perform alot better and on top of that modded 400ex's are becoming a dime a dozen.....

I'll 3rd that on getting a 400 cause even after you do a ton of work to the 250 you'll still be hard pressed to keep up with a stock 400 anywhere. If you just wanted to pep it up a little in the meantime you could go for a good slip on pipe, filter, jets and flip the front rims.
