Riding in ONF but not in Big Scrub?
«

I saw that hunting season (for Deer) is over on 1/22 so as soon as it is over I can just park anywhere in the forest and start riding right? I mean as long as I'm not on the # roads. I'm sure the trails are alot smoother the further you get from Big Scrub. Thanks for the replies

I figure I can wait until Deer season is over to give the hunters some space, but after that I'm going for it. We went to big scrub a few weeks ago and ran into 3 groups of hunters near there. Why they would hunt in that area with all the bikes is beyond me. We just slowed down when we went by and they didn't bother us.

You can park anywhere, anytime in ONF, you might just piss off some of the hunters though.

I GO OUT EVERY WEEKEND TO ONF AND NEVER GO TO BIG SCRUB BECAUSE THE TRAILS SUCK BECAUSE OF THE DIRT BIKES THE TRAILS THAT RUN THROUGH THE FOREST ARE SO MUCH SMOTHER AND WIDER,THE HUNTERS DONT EVEN MIND AS LONG AS YOU SLOW DOWN FOR THEM THEY'LL RESPECT YOU IF YOU RESPECT THEM

also helps your case with the hunters if you have a quiet quad,,,,which I don't so I always get the angry looks ;-)
it's why I tend to stay out of the forest during hunting season, but when I do ride, I ride during the middle of the day only.

I am thinking that most of the forest will be closed to ATV's after hunting season while they work on the new trails. I would go ride while you know you can.
