Hi, I'm "Mrs. DR Walum". I own two horses and Don owns a dirt bike and an ATV. We have no trailer. What I want to do is buy a nice Featherlite two horse aluminum trailer that you can remove all partitions so that Don can haul his bikes in it also. But he says he would be "the laughing stock" if he showed up at rides with his bikes in a horse trailer. So I decided to come on here and ask all you ATV riders how you feel about it!?Huh? Thanks, Jan Grin
ps sorry I added a poll, my husband says you all hate pols on here.

it would be fine I think. The advantage would be that the quad would be hidden insted of like an open trailer. He could always tell people that laugh that he is carrying so much HORSEpower that he thought he should have a horse trailer.

Most people here are understanding enough ( working class ) ,You have to use what you have, Heck it would be better than trying to haul them in the trunk of a car , RIGHT?!?! Grin

We tow my ATV in the back of a Mini-Van, so nothings worse than that lol. I say get the horse trailer and like Yunt said, tell him to say it had to much horse power to be in a normal trailer lol.

I have done this before with my friends dad. I personally almost prefer this method. It is much easier and people have no clue whats inside. Get the horsetrailer. Laughing stock or not your riding and having a good time.

If you can only get one, get the horse trailer. I wouldn't put horses in my trailer but I would sure put my bike in a horse trailer if thats what I had to do.
I have a friend that hauls his bike in one, he takes it to the races too. That horse trailer has been to the ATV nationals inTenn. and most of the local MX tracks.

I think it is a great idea. I was thinking the same thing. I can haul dogs and an atv on a hunting trip, haul atvs and have room to sleep in it. Many other options. GO FOR IT!! Clapper Clapper Clapper

Hello Mrs. DRWallum,

You ask this question of us under the guise of presuming that he is not going to be laughed at for something else.  The group on this board will always find something to poke at with everyone they encounter given enough time.  Believe me, if it isn't a horse trailer, it will be something else.

I ride at Suburban estates and I see more than a few horse trailers out there all the time.
