Yes we will be there as usual.
HS and XC are basically the same thing.

This race will be 2 hours. and its an awsome course.

If you never raced before you really dont know what your'e missing.
I recently went riding with 2 buddies that refuse to race.
We went to Ocala NF. Jeeeeezzze that was so boring I about fell asleep riding.
There is nothing like getting the adrenaline flowing right before a race.

For all the info and location go to www.floridatrailriders.org or PM me and I will help you get racing!
Im one of the rider reps.

The reason no one posted was because we were all at the palatka HS race.

I will be there if I get my brake rotor intime.

No cross crounty is not the same as a harescramble.  Cross country is more like enduro type of racing.  All our bikes are to damn wide for the harescarambles or we would just for fun.

Well, not in your class Matt but I was supposed to go out there next weekend.  Unfortunately, running around the ranch this weekend ended up costing my whole months allowance.  I will be grounded from riding till our club ride in February. Cry Cry Cry Cry

Oh well maybe I can become more well rounded during my down time.

Well is the quad is set up for "MX" I'll have to say yes, you'll be to wide for Hare Scramble or Cross Contry, but if you are in the stock set ups or a couple of inches wider you will be fine, there are Bombardiers DS 650 racing and Kawasaky KFX 700, this are big quads, and we have the utility class for the Quad Scramble series, so on my opinion just the quads that are set up for "MX" will be in trouble going through the thigth woods (this are no less then 50'' wide)
And yes you can come for fun, I do this for fun any way, is nice to meet new people  Toast and ride on different places (100% legal) every other weekend

XC is nothing like an enduro!!!
Jeez ive been racing for a 1000 years now and know the difference.
An enduro course is used in the woods, legal roads, gravel roads and held on public land. They also use a watch and trail computer to calculate time and speed to the next check point.
XC is all out balls to the walls racing in the woods, open fields, creek crossing, hills, mountains, what ever they throw at you. To get as many laps in before the time is up.

Well, well, well. What have I stumbled upon. A bunch of FTR racers.
Anyone whos not a member needs to join and race in the C-Open class. I need more people to race against. Like atleast 20 so when I come in 10th place, I dont feel so bad.  Grin  I wanna race this weekend but MY Jen wont let me unless she can race too, and shes too scared to do 2 hours. SUCKS to be me. Guess Ill be racing with my wife at the next harescramble on the 21st. See you ftr crazys later.
JEN dont run over me when you lap me. just kidding.

You need to show up dude...
2 hours is not that bad. If she gets to tired at the end she can pull off.
I remember doing my first year at GNCC and never finished one race.
But the fun I had was increadible!!

Had fun today, it was my first XC race and it didnt look good. I had stock tires, shocks, and no steering stabilizer. I also got hung up right at the beginning and was last into the woods.  When it was all over I finished 5 min. ahead of 2nd. place in C-Open and took the beating of my life. That was a ROUGH course.

Gonna unload the trailer Monday at 5am before work, man Im pooped.

Sucks I busted up my pipe. Keith told me I was running a strong 3rd on my 2nd lap.

Thanks guys, I didnt think I was doing that good. I got hung up at the start and was last into the woods. I was passing people but I rode the whole race thinking that there was a pack ahead of me that I couldn't catch. Also half way through the first lap my water pack leaked all my water down my back  and I was dying for a drink. I also pulled off the track after my 3rd. lap  because I was told we would probably race 3 laps. I was beat, then the guy at the timing booth told me I was not finished, I was like NO I DONT WANT NO MORE. I went out and finished another lap still thinking I was about mid pack. Anyway, I had fun. I may need to make a few upgrades to my bike, it beat the crap out of me.
I'll try to meet more of you next time, Matt.
